Albuen, Lolland, Denmark, Europe

Isolated places attract me. Small islands for instance. Where you only come by boat. Life develops differently in such places. The inhabitants learn to manage. The photos above aren’t from an island but from a peninsula. The Danish name is Albuen. It means “the elbow”. When you look at a map, you understand why. In former days Albuen was a busy fishing hamlet. Today the houses are only used as summer cottages.
